Lithium Acetate with glycerol

Used to store synchronized chemically competent yeast cells. Note that here we use 30% glycerol, as it increases the transformation efficiency relative to the standard 15%.

Final concentration 1M LiAc

  • Weigh 0.66g Lithium acetate
  • Add 70ml H2O
  • Mix till all is dissolved
  • Add 30ml 100% Glycerol
  • Set to pH4.9
