Sterilization can be performed by:
- Autoclave when the compound/sample/tube etc can be heated to above 121C
- Filter sterilization for small volumes of liquids
- Surface sterilization by soaking what needs to be sterilized in 70% Ethanol for ~5-10 minutes.
