To make 1 liter of 1M sorbitol
- Dissolve 182 g sorbitol in 800 ml ddH2O.
- Fill up to 1 liter.
Sterilized by filtration or autoclaving.
2M Sorbitol
The higher concentration of Sorbitol used for cryopreservation of cells before Yeast Electoporation Transformation is 2M. We only need very little volumes.
- Dissolve 18.2 Sorbitol in 45 ml ddH2O.
- heat if needed
- Fill up to 50 ml
- Sterilized by filtration
- Store in fridge 2.
