Isotonic solution to make dilutions for counting cells, plating out etc.

Yeast is quite good handling water, but spores from Schizophyllum commune or Neurospora are more sensitive to osmotic stress.

Dissolve 9g Sodium Chloride into 1 L water.

Aliquot in 100ml bottles.

Sterilize by Autoclaving.
