Phleomycin

Antibiotic to select against yeast and filamentous fungi.

Selective antibiotic for the Sh ble gene

Make 5 ml of stock solution 20 mg/ml

• Weigh 125 mg of Phleomycin.
• Add 5 ml of H₂O. Disolve completely.
• Sterilize by drawing the solution through a syringe filter .

Usage

For Fission yeast and for Schizophyllum

Dilute 1:2000 to final concentration of 10 µl/ml (12µl for 9cm plate)
