Nourseothricin is used a dominant resistance marker. We use it mostly in the CRISPR-Cas9 method for transformation.

Make a stock solution of 100mg/ml

Usage

Pombe:

Add 1:1000 (i.e. 25µl/plate) to solid medium of ~50-60°C to obtain a final concentration of 100µg/ml.


Schizophyllum

Add 1:10.000 (i.e. 2.5µl/plate) to solid SMM of ~50-60°C to obtain a final concentration of 10µg/ml.
