Glucose Stock Solution 60%

For 800ml

• Weigh 480g D-Glucose
• Add to a 1 liter bottle
• Add 500ml dd-water
• Stick in microwave and quickly heat
• Mix to dissolve all the sugar
• Add more dd-Water to a final volume of 800ml

For 300ml

• Weigh 180g D-Glucose
• Add to a 500ml bottle
• Add 180ml dd-water
• Stick in microwave and quickly heat
• Mix to dissolve all the sugar
• Add more dd-Water to a final volume of 300ml

Sterilize

• Sterilize by filter sterilization (there are filters for large volumes in the storage room) OR
• by sterilizing by Autoclaving at 110C for 10 min (short program to avoid caramelization which can affect background fluorescence)
